This week I volunteered at my church's Vacation Bible School. The theme was Son Rise National Park and I helped teach the first and second grade class about Jesus. Most of the children at VBS come from other churches and many come back each year. It is so nice to see little kids who never met before become instant friends. For example, there was one girl in my class that came later in the week. Her mom went to high school with another little girl's mom in my class. They have never met before that day and when the little girl who has been there the whole week found out that the other girl's mom went to school with her mom she announced to the class that she had a new best friend. I think that it is so inspiring to see little children become friends without judging one another. I feel when you're older and you meet someone you tend to judge them. Even if it is unintentional sometimes you can't help but notice things and based on that judge them. I don't like being judgmental and I try not to be but from now on whenever I meet a new person I will try to be more like the children in my class and not label them.
